Tour Itinerary :

Day 1 Jakarta Airport – Muara Angke / Jakarta Bay Birding – Hotel ( D)

You will be picked up in Jakarta international airport upon arrival by our guide, then we drive to Muara Angke for boat trip Birding at Muara Angke and Jakarta Bay and we hope to see one of the highlight, such as : Sunda Coucal ( its rare ), Milky stork,  Christmas Frigate Bird, Javan Plovers, Javan Pond Herons, Bar-winged Prinias, Red Breasted Parkeet, Small Minivet, Lesser Whsitling-Duck , Sunda-Teal,  Whimbrel, Little Cormorant, Clamorous Reed Warbler, Javan Myna, Javan Munia, maybe Sunda pygmy woodpecker, Grey Heron, Purple Heron, Cerulean Blue kingfisher, Racket_Tailed Treepie, Golden-Bellied Greygone, Striated Heron, Cattle Egret, Little Egret, Whisker Tern, Pied Stilt, Erasian Moorhen, Pink-necked Green Pigeon, Sunda Collared-Dove, Spotted Dove and maybe Indonesia Honey Eater. ( Important information : if your arrival time is in the morning, we are able to bird around Muara Angke & Jakarta Bay on Day1, but if your arrival is in the afternoon late, the birding trip will be done on Day 2 after early breakfast at hotel )

Day 2 Jakarta – Ciwidey Kawah Putih ( B,L,D)
Early breakfast will be served at hotel and after breakfast, check out then we drive to Ciwidey Kawah Putih takes around 3 to 4 hours approximately, arrival at Ciwidey, check in at the lodge.  Ciwidey is located in West Java, Indonesia,  is a popular tourist destination known for its stunning natural scenery and attractions. Kawah Putih Lake (7.10° S 107.24° E) is one of the two craters that make up Mt. Patuha an andesitic stratovolcano(a “composite” volcano) ^]Mount Patuha is one of numerous volcanoes in Java. Kawah Putih Crater Lake itself represents a relatively stable volcanic system with no records of significant activity since around 1600.The Kawah Putih site was opened to visitors in 1987. The lake is 2,430 metres (7,970 ft) above sea level so the local climate is often quite chilly (temperatures are frequently around 10 °C (50 °F)). This makes a brisk change from the humidity of the north Java plain and the capital city of Jakarta. Afternoon birding till the dusk time and we hope to see the Javan scop owl.

Day 3 to Day 4 Full Day Birding Ciwidey Kawah Putih ( B,L,D)
Early breakfast will be served at the lodge and after breakfast, Explore ciwidey, kawah putih ( white crater ), and we expect to see some key species, such as :  Javan Trogon, Horsfield’s Thrush , Sunda Trush, Javan Cochoa,  Volcano Swiftlets, Javan Scop owl, Javan Hawk-Eagle, White-flanked Sunbird, Pink-headed Fruit Doves, Tawny-breasted Parrotfinch Javan Scops Owl, Crescent-chested babbler, Javan flower pecker, Rufous tailed fantail, javan frogmouth, Salvadori nightjar, Javan tesia, Indonesia Spoted Kestrel, Pied shrike, Chesnut-Fronted shrike babbler, Flame fronted barbet, Orange spotted bulbul, Javan grey-throated white eyes, Blue whistling trush, Eye browed wren babbler, Mountain White-Eye, Mountain leaf warbler, Sunda Warbler, Sunda bush warbler, Indigo Flycather, Javan whistling Trush, Little Pied flycatcher.

Day 5 Ciwidey – Cibodas Birding Tour  ( B,L,D)
Early breakfast will be served at the lodge, and its still possible to bird to look for some key birds species which missed in the previous day. Then check out from the lodge where we will drive to Cibodas, takes around 3 to 4 hours driving if there is not traffic jam. Arrival at Cibodas, check in at the Guest House.  Explore Cibodas Botanical Gaden,  is a 84.99 hectares (210.0 acres) botanical garden on the slopes of Mount Gede located in the Cibodas subdistrict of West Java, Indonesia^. It was operated by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), which now has been transformed into the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Afternoon is available for birding around Cibodas.

Day 6 to Day 7 Full Day Birding at Gunung Gede National Park (B,L,D)
After early breakfast , morning birding at Cibodas  Gunung Gede, and we expect to see the key species, such as   Javan hanging Parrot, Javan kingfisher, Javan fulvetta, Chesnut-bellied patrige, White flanked sunbird, Javan tesia, pygmy wren babbler, Pygmy tit, White-bibbed babbler, Crescent-chested babbler, Javan Blue robin, Javan flower pecker, Rufous tailed fantail, Javan scop owel, Java frogmouth, Salvadori nightjar, Spoted Kestrel, Chesnut-Fronted shrike babbler, White Browed shrike babbler, Javan Hawk eagle, Flame fronted barbet, Orange spotted bulbul, Sunda trush ( its rare), Javan grey-throated white eyes, Little spider-hunter, long-billed spider hunter, Tawny breasted partotfinch, Javan Shrotwing, Javan Whistling  Trush, Rufous fronted Laughingtrush, Javan Banded Broadbill, Indigo Flycather, Snowy browed flycatcher.

Day 8 : Cibodas – Halimun Birdwatching Tour (B,L,D)
Morning birding Cibodas botanical garden and Drive to Gunung Halimun National Park on the way to Cikaniki Researc Center we do Birding on the Road at the area of Halimun National Park, afternoon birding and night at Cikaniki Research Station/Citalahab. Explore Halimun National Park, is a 400 km² conservation area in the Indonesian province of West Java on the island of Java Established in 1992, the park comprises two mountains, Mount Salak and Mount Halimun with an 11-kilometer forest corridor It is located near the better known Mount Gede Pangrango National Park but the national park should be accessed from Sukabumi 2 hours drive to the administration post and then 2 hours drive (30 kilometers) again to Cikaniki post gate.

Day 9 : Halimun Birdwatching Tour – Carita Overnight (B,L,D)
Today, will look for the key birds, such as : Javan Hawk eagle, Javan trogon, Javan Sunbird, White belied fantail, Javan and Sunda forktail, white bibbed babbler, White breasted babbler, spotted croacias, Brown-throated barbet, Flame fronted barbet and Blue Whistling Trush, Javan Cuckooshrike, Pale Blue Jungle Flycatcher, Melodious Bulbul. Then after lunch, we drive direct to Carita for birdwatching tour in the next day. Arrival at Carita, check in at Hotel. If you are not tired, available for night birdwatching tour in Carita to look for : Oriental bay owl, Sunda scops owl, Spotted wood owl and maybe Javan frogmouth.

Day 10 Carita Birdwatching Tour – Jakarta Hotel / Airport ( B & L)

After early breakfast at Hotel, we drive to the main entrance gate of Carita Forest Park where we will look for key birds species, and we hope to see : Javan Banded Pitta, Javan Frogmouth, Javan Sunbird, Grey-Cheeked Tit Babbler, Javan Owlet ( rare), Black-Banded Barbet, Javan –Black Capped Babbler and also Javan Broadbill, and also maybe another birds species, such as : Scarlet minivet, Rusty breasted cuckoo, Plantive cuckoo, Common flameback, Sunda pygmy woodpecker, Freckle-breasted woodpecker, Little spiderhunter, Streaky-breasted spiderhunter, Small minivet, Fork tailed drongo cuckoo, Black-winged flycatcher –shrike, Horsfield’s babbler, Black-naped fruit dove, Rufous piculet, and many others. Lunch will be served at the local restaurant. Then at 3 PM, we drive back to Jakarta hotel or Jakarta international airport. End of Birdwatching trip.
